Rotherham United Women will mark the start of a new chapter for the club this weekend with a free pre-season friendly at the Rotherham Hospice Community Stadium in Rawmarsh.
First public outing under new ownership
The match, scheduled for Sunday 2 August, will provide the first chance for supporters to see the rebuilt squad and coaching staff following a change of ownership earlier this summer. Kick-off is at 12pm, when the Millers take on Dronfield Town Women.
Club co-owner Scott Thorpe said the new custodians have been working behind the scenes to strengthen the playing group and enhance matchday arrangements, with the aim of establishing a sustainable, community-focused club.

Admission to the friendly is free and the club has also confirmed there will be free parking, as part of an invitation to families, existing supporters and newcomers to attend.
