BCA has launched a new Battery Repair Centre at its Doncaster facility, expanding local capacity to diagnose, repair and, where necessary, replace components from electric and hybrid vehicle traction batteries.
What the Doncaster centre will do
The centre will carry out work to OEM standards for batteries whose manufacturer warranty has expired or become invalidated. Services listed by BCA include:
- Diagnosis and insulation testing
- Module repair and replacement
- Casing repairs and drive motor replacements
- Cellular balancing, DC charger and inverter repairs
- Supply of green parts where available
- High-voltage component replacement
BCA also provides on-site battery repair services at the Renault Import Centre in Portbury, supporting Renault UK’s traction battery maintenance.

The Doncaster opening builds on BCA’s broader move into EV services. BCA says that grading improves sale conversion rates, boosts average values and shortens time to sale for both passenger cars and electric light commercial vehicles.
