Meallmore has confirmed plans to launch its 30th care home in Clarkston, with Eaglesham House due to open in spring 2027. The company says the purpose-built facility, being developed on the former grounds of Greenbank Church, represents a roughly £15 million investment in East Renfrewshire.
What the new home will offer
The complex will deliver personalised nursing care for up to 50 people, including those with dementia and related conditions. Residents will be accommodated in private ensuite rooms and have access to a range of communal facilities intended to support wellbeing and social life.

Jobs and recruitment
Meallmore says recruitment for nursing, care, services team roles, administrative posts and managers will begin in September. The company describes the site as its ninth home serving the Greater Glasgow and West of Scotland area and part of a broader expansion responding to rising demand for modern care services.

The developer also highlighted communal spaces designed to promote relaxation and social interaction. Site construction on the former church grounds has progressed to the point the company can announce a spring 2027 opening.
