Nottinghamshire have confirmed that Liam Patterson-White has signed a new three-year contract, keeping the left-arm spinning all-rounder at Trent Bridge until the end of the 2029 season.
Home-grown talent tied to county long-term
An Academy graduate, Patterson-White has been a regular figure in the Nottinghamshire line-up since his first-class debut in 2019. The 27-year-old has compiled more than 130 appearances across formats, contributing significantly with both bat and ball as the club plan for the coming seasons.
Across his county career Patterson-White has taken in excess of 200 wickets for Nottinghamshire and has reached double-figure five-wicket hauls, while also adding over 2,500 runs with the bat — including two centuries and ten fifties. Those returns mark him out as a genuine all-round option for the Green and Golds.
Recognition and role after a title season
His progress was recognised during a memorable 2025 campaign when he received his Nottinghamshire county cap in the season the club won the County Championship for the first time in 15 years. That success, and Patterson-White's development, appear to have convinced the club to secure his services for the medium term.
“I’m very pleased to sign a new contract with the club. Being a home-grown player as well, it’s really pleasing to be able to continue to stay here,” Patterson-White said.
Head coach Peter Moores added that the club were delighted to have retained a player who has "been on a real journey" and who has worked hard to elevate his game over the last 18 months.
How this matters to Nottinghamshire supporters
For supporters at Trent Bridge, the deal offers continuity to a squad that has blended experienced signings with products of the county pathway. Patterson-White provides flexibility across both red-ball and white-ball formats: a left-arm spin option that can bowl long spells in the Championship and contribute useful lower-order runs.
- Contract length: Three years (through 2029)
- Appearances: More than 130 matches for Nottinghamshire
- Wickets: Over 200 for the county
- Runs: More than 2,500
| Metric | Approximate total |

| First-team appearances | 130+ |
| Wickets | 200+ |
| Runs | 2,500+ |
From a team-building perspective, Nottinghamshire now secure one of their home-grown senior pros through what should be the peak years of his career. That stability can only help as the club aim to remain competitive across the county calendar.
Supporters looking to see Patterson-White in action will likely have ample opportunity in the seasons ahead, with the spinner expected to play a prominent role in both the Championship and limited-overs programmes.
This contract announcement follows a broader strategy by the county to back players who have come through their Academy and to blend them with experienced heads — a formula that delivered the 2025 Championship and which the club will hope to replicate in coming seasons.
