Local policing operation

The Project Taskforce (also referred to locally as the Guardian Taskforce) carries out regular patrols across the West Midlands, working alongside neighbourhood teams to target locations where intelligence indicates higher levels of youth-related violence, vehicle crime and knife-carrying. These operations concentrate on disrupting criminal activity and supporting victims by responding to reports and following up on leads.

  • Where to report suspicious activity: call 101 or use the police website for non-emergencies
  • For immediate danger: call 999
  • Local contact: your neighbourhood policing team can provide advice on stolen vehicles and community concerns

This incident underlines the role of targeted patrols in recovering stolen property and progressing criminal charges. Residents with information about vehicle thefts or suspicious behaviour in Solihull and neighbouring areas are encouraged to come forward to assist ongoing police work.
