Emirates Old Trafford has been confirmed as the venue for a string of major international fixtures in 2027, the England and Wales Cricket Board has announced. The schedule will bring elite men’s and women’s sides to Manchester and is set to make the ground a focal point of next summer’s international programme.
Fixtures and local impact
The ground will stage a Metro Bank One Day International between England Men and Pakistan on Wednesday 19 May 2027, and a Vitality IT20 between England Women and Australia — as part of the Women’s Ashes — on Friday 9 July 2027. In addition, Emirates Old Trafford will host a four-day match between Australia Men and the England Lions starting on Monday 7 June 2027, a fixture that will form part of Australia’s Ashes build-up.
The schedule also includes the return of the Roses T20 clash between Lancashire Lightning and Yorkshire in the Vitality T20 Blast, provisionally set for Friday 2 July 2027, and a Vitality IT20 between England Men and New Zealand on Thursday 9 September 2027.
