Four men who ran a county lines operation supplying class A and B drugs into Sutton have been jailed after an investigation by Nottinghamshire Police’s county lines team. The line, which began operating in June 2025, was described by police as a busy commercial enterprise that targeted users with bulk marketing messages.

How the line operated and what police found

Between June and August 2025 alone, officers found the service had sent about 8,000 messages advertising the sale of cocaine, heroin and cannabis. The court heard the enterprise was coordinated by Dondi Boddice, Lewis Caunt, Jake Hardy and Deshon Lindsay, who each pleaded guilty to drug dealing and were subsequently imprisoned.

Searches at properties linked to the group, carried out during 2025 and 2026, yielded a range of evidence and items seized by detectives. Those included several wraps of class A drugs, large quantities of cannabis, weapons and cash believed to be the proceeds of crime. Mobile phones recovered during warrants contained evidence of the lines used to facilitate sales.

  • Operation active from June 2025
  • Approximately 8,000 marketing messages sent in June–August 2025
  • Raids recovered class A drugs, cannabis, weapons and criminal cash

Local raids and incidents in Sutton

One warrant was executed at a property in New Hucknall Waye, Huthwaite, on 15 November 2025 where officers seized significant amounts of cannabis, high-value jewellery and an air rifle. A further search at a house in Willow Crescent, Sutton, on 9 February this year uncovered wraps of class A drugs, additional cannabis and weapons including knives, an imitation firearm and a knuckle duster. During that search, Lewis Caunt refused to leave the property for about four hours before being arrested.

Another search located Boddice at a property in Eckington Walk, Mansfield, where officers recovered crack cocaine, heroin, amphetamines and cannabis with a combined reported value of £7,640.

Defendant Location linked to warrant Key items seized
Dondi Boddice Eckington Walk, Mansfield Crack, heroin, amphetamines, cannabis (£7,640 total)
Jake Hardy New Hucknall Waye, Huthwaite Cannabis, jewellery, air rifle
Deshon Lindsay Willow Crescent, Sutton Class A wraps, cannabis, knives, imitation firearm, knuckle duster

Violence linked to the group

In addition to dealing offences, the investigation revealed a violent incident in Sutton: on 5 February this year a shopworker at a store in Forest Road, Sutton, was punched repeatedly and robbed. Prosecutors say that assault was carried out by Caunt while an associate stole bottles of alcohol from the shop.

Police reports state that among the mobile phones recovered was a handset containing the drug line number; analysis of other devices produced further evidence of the dealing network.

The sentences mark the conclusion of a multi-month operation to disrupt a county lines supply route that reached into Sutton and neighbouring areas. Local officers say the disruption removed a supply chain that was linked to both drug distribution and street-level violence.
