Openreach is due to carry out telecoms maintenance on a number of roads across the Borough of Bromley from 5 August 2026, the council has confirmed via a public notice. The work will require temporary traffic measures, including road closures and parking restrictions, intended to allow ducting, poling and other cabling activities to proceed safely.

At present the public notice names several streets where works are planned, notably Berrys Green Road, Blackness Lane and Cudham Lane North. The traffic order comes into force on or after 5 August and carries a statutory maximum life of 18 months, although the notice does not specify a final completion date.

Bromley Council's notice sets out a range of temporary restrictions to facilitate the works. These include:
- Prohibition on waiting — vehicles left on specified streets or nearby may be removed under the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986;
- Prohibition on traffic — certain streets will be closed to through traffic while works are underway;

Vehicles directly involved in the works will be exempt from the order, as will movements carried out under the authority of a police officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
