New attraction opens at Llys-y-frân as summer season begins
One of Wales' largest inflatable aqua parks will open at Llys-y-frân Reservoir in Pembrokeshire on 18 July 2026, poised to operate throughout the school summer holidays. The facility is set within the reservoir's country park and adds to an existing programme of outdoor activities in the area.
The aqua park will run 45-minute sessions priced at £18.50 per person. Each session accommodates up to 20 participants and includes a 15-minute safety briefing plus a further 15 minutes allocated for exit from the water. Operators have altered the layout for the 2026 season after completing final safety and quality checks to align with Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water’s standards.
What visitors will find on the course
- Features including an extreme slide and a giant climbing challenge
- Balance and bounce zones, an i-hop jump zone, tunnel dash and scramble elements
- Sessions limited by age and height requirements (details and restrictions available via the operator)
Visitors to Llys-y-frân will still be able to use the other amenities at the country park: bike hire, a free-to-use bike skills track, an adventure playground and scenic walking and cycling trails around the lake. An on-site café provides food and drink with lake views, and the site also offers a Visit Wales four-star graded campsite for longer stays.
Booking, groups and local impact
Due to anticipated demand, all aqua park sessions must be booked in advance. Group bookings can be arranged by emailing llysyfran@dwrcymru.com or by calling 01437 532273 between 9am and 5pm. Visitors are advised to check the Llys-y-frân website for session times, full terms and conditions and any updates to age or height restrictions before travelling.

For Pembrokeshire residents and visitors alike, the new aqua park represents an expansion of outdoor leisure options within the county. Its presence is likely to increase visitor footfall at Llys-y-frân during the busy summer period, with implications for parking, local traffic and trade for nearby businesses. Operators and Dŵr Cymru have emphasised that safety checks and revised layouts were completed prior to opening to meet required standards.
