Police are continuing enquiries after the car of a man reported missing from his Aberdeenshire home was located unoccupied on a track off the B846 south of Tummel Bridge.
Who is being sought
The missing person has been identified as 37‑year‑old Sandy Scott Barron of Inverbervie. He was last heard from by his family on Saturday 18 July. Officers have treated him as a missing person since then and launched a search operation following the discovery of his vehicle.
Where the vehicle was found
Police located a black Dacia Duster bearing registration SD67 SXG on a track off the B846, south of Tummel Bridge, at around 5.30pm on Wednesday 22 July. The vehicle was unoccupied when found.
"We are working to establish Sandy’s movements and I would urge anyone who believes they may have seen him or his black Dacia Duster at any point in recent days to get in touch as a matter of urgency."
Appeal to the public
Officers have asked anyone who may have seen Sandy or his vehicle to contact Police Scotland. From enquiries so far, it is thought he may have travelled in the direction of Kinloch Rannoch. Members of the public with information are asked to call 101, quoting reference 2645 of 22 July.
