County send teenage striker out to gain experience
Stockport County have loaned 19-year-old striker Bruno Cina to Nantwich Town on an initial three-month deal, the non-league club confirmed. Cina, who signed his first professional contract with County in April 2026, has linked up with Luke Goddard’s squad as they complete pre-season preparations.
The forward, who joined Stockport in 2024 after leaving Colchester United, stands at 6ft 4 and has been noted for his athleticism and pace while progressing through the County ranks. The loan gives the young striker an opportunity to play regular senior football and continue his development away from Edgeley Park.
“His athleticism and threat will add superbly to our current group… I have no doubt Bruno can come in and we can help develop him, which in turn I believe benefits Nantwich Town.”
Manager Luke Goddard thanked County staff for their cooperation in arranging the move and explained the recruitment thinking behind bringing Cina to the Swansway Stadium. Nantwich say they nearly signed him last season but a minor injury prevented that transfer.

The loan represents part of the pathway Stockport County use to give younger players senior minutes. For County followers, the move will be watched closely to see how Cina adapts to a different level and whether the spell helps him push for more involvement at Edgeley Park later in the season.

For Nantwich, Cina is an addition in a forward area the manager says is being finalised ahead of the opening block of games. The Swansway Stadium club invited supporters and sponsors to back the new signing as they prepare for the season.
Stockport County supporters will want to track Cina’s progress during the loan spell to assess whether it accelerates his transition from prospect to first-team contender back at Edgeley Park.
