An 88-year-old woman has died after a two-vehicle collision on Ranmoor Park Road in Ranmoor, Sheffield, police have confirmed.
Four pensioners involved in single vehicle
South Yorkshire Police were called at 12.45pm on Sunday 26 July after reports of a crash involving a red Honda Jazz and a grey Nissan Note near St John’s Church. The deceased was a passenger in the Honda. Three other people in the same car, all described as being in their 80s, were also taken to hospital.
One of the other occupants, an 88-year-old man who was driving the Honda Jazz, received treatment in hospital and has since been discharged. A man and a woman, also in their 80s and travelling as passengers in the Honda, suffered minor injuries.
Police appeal for witnesses and footage
Officers investigating the circumstances of the collision are appealing to anyone who saw the incident or who might have relevant recordings to come forward. The force specifically mentioned potential sources such as dashcam, CCTV and doorbell footage.
“As part of our enquiries, we are now calling on anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with relevant information or footage to please get in touch with us.”
