Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision just outside York city centre on Saturday afternoon, with the air ambulance among the vehicles attending the scene.

The incident occurred at about 1pm on August 1 on Barbican Road at its junction with Kent Street and Heslington Road. It is reported to be a crash believed to involve a motorcyclist and at least one car. Two vehicles were observed parked within the cordon.
