Darlington FC have revealed their playing shirts for the 2026/27 campaign in a launch produced in partnership with kit supplier Macron. The club says the designs were selected with supporter input and combine the club’s traditional identity with a contemporary away option.
"Wear your colours with pride!"
Home returns to classic hoops; away breaks new ground in red
The new home jersey restores Darlington’s familiar black-and-white hooped look, carrying design cues from the shirts worn during the club’s title-winning seasons between 1989 and 1991, and is finished with a vivid yellow trim. The away shirt is a striking red top featuring a darker geometric chevron wash towards the lower body, paired with black collar and sleeve detailing.
Club information states that the shirts were chosen by supporters, a claim the team emphasised as part of the launch. The new kits will be available to buy in person and online from the start of August.
Where and when to buy
- On sale from 10am, Saturday 1 August.
- In-person outlets: Quaker Retail, Dolphin Centre and Macron Sports Hub Tees Valley, Morton Park (behind B&Q/Morrisons).
- Also available via the Darlington FC online shop.
The club has announced a special event at Blackwell Meadows on Wednesday 5 August from 6pm to 9pm, when supporters can buy shirts inside the ground’s ground-floor bar and meet "a couple of the players". Food and drink will be on sale during that evening.
| Item | Price / Detail |

Shirts bought on the Blackwell Meadows launch night will be entered into a free draw for a pair of hospitality tickets to the club’s Workshop game on 8 August.
Retail opening times
The club supplied opening hours for the two in-person retail points:
- Quaker Retail – Dolphin Centre: Opening 10am–1pm on Saturday 1 August; then normal opening hours Monday–Friday 10am–1pm.
- Macron Sports Hub Tees Valley – Morton Park: Monday–Friday 9am–5pm; Saturday 9am–2pm.
The launch ties into the club’s preparations ahead of the new season and will be of practical interest to supporters wanting to wear the updated shirts on opening-day fixtures. For those unable to attend in person, the online store offers a purchasing route from the same start time the club has advertised.
Locally, the return to the hooped home design with a splash of yellow will resonate with older fans who remember Darlington’s late-1980s successes, while the red away option offers a contemporary alternative for supporters preferring a bolder look on the road.
