The Old Gold Pack, a supporters' group formed around four seasons ago, has unveiled a specially designed 150th anniversary shirt to mark the milestone in the club's history. Members say the garments will start reaching buyers this week and they hope to see large numbers on display at Molineux for the first home match of the season against Blackburn.
From flags to fundraising
The collective began by organising stadium displays and flags in tribute to former players and has since moved into producing official-looking shirts. The group secured a manufacturer in the UK to produce the garments, a decision they say helped accelerate the project.
Organisers stress that the initiative is intended to be "from Wolves fans, for Wolves fans" while also delivering a charitable benefit. The majority of profits will be donated to Compton Care, a Wolverhampton-based hospice charity, with the balance used to fund future fan displays and flags.
"Here we are now at the launch getting them out... and people will start receiving them this week which is crazy to think,"
One notable endorsement came from club legend Steve Bull, who serves as a patron for Compton Care. After being shown the shirt, organisers say Bull wanted to see one and was photographed wearing it on the group's social channels.
Price and allocation of funds
Organisers previously indicated an intended sale price of £50 per shirt. They say the distribution of proceeds will combine local charitable giving with reinvestment into the fan community.
| Item | Detail |

What this means locally
- Fans will have a new commemorative item to mark Wolves' 150th year.
- Compton Care will receive the bulk of profits, supporting hospice care in the city.
- The project finances future supporter-led displays, continuing a recent tradition at Molineux.
Supporter groups have increasingly taken an active role in shaping matchday atmosphere, and this initiative underlines the continuing relationship between fan activism and charitable giving in Wolverhampton. With the shirts due to arrive this week and the next home fixture providing a natural showcase, the next fortnight will show how widely the design is adopted by those attending Molineux.
Buyers and those interested in supporting the project should check the Old Gold Pack's channels for ordering details and delivery updates.
