Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a collision on Shraley Brook Road in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area left a man dead and several people injured.

What happened

Emergency services were called after a white Ford Transit travelling towards Halmerend was involved in a collision with a black Audi A3. The driver of the Audi, a man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The force has now named the deceased as 30-year-old Macauley Jenkinson, from Derby. Two other occupants in the Audi and all three people in the van sustained minor injuries. The driver of the van is assisting collision investigators.
