A 44-year-old man remains in hospital after sustaining injuries to his face and body during an incident on Bishopton Road, Stockton-on-Tees, at about 4.30pm on Friday, July 31.

Cleveland Police said officers were called to the scene by ambulance colleagues. Multiple police units attended and carried out searches along Bishopton Road, with further enquiries also conducted in nearby Hartington Road.
The man was taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and he remains under care while detectives continue to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. No arrests have been made at this stage.
