Greater Manchester Police have issued an urgent appeal to trace Niaz, 53, who was last seen at the Royal Oldham Hospital on the evening of Friday 31 July. Officers say they are increasingly worried about his welfare and are asking anyone who recognises him or who may have seen him since that time to come forward.

The force has provided a description to help with enquiries. Niaz is from Oldham and is described as an Asian male of medium build with short grey hair. He was last seen wearing a black full-zip hoodie, a red T-shirt, grey tracksuit bottoms and grey trainers with black soles.
