Victim named as detectives pursue leads across borders
Detectives investigating the kidnap and death of a young man taken from Waltham Abbey have named him as Jack Sullivan, aged 21. Mr Sullivan was abducted on 22 June and later found with fatal injuries in Hertfordshire. DCI Greg Wood said: “We believe Jack was taken and carried in a black Mitsubishi Outlander bearing the registration HY16 FZR – although this is not the vehicle’s true registration. We want to hear from anyone who saw it between 3 and 23 June, or witnessed it being left in River Close on 23 June.”
The inquiry also hinges on finding Mr Sullivan’s blue Louis Vuitton trainers, described by detectives as being worth in the region of £1,000. Officers believe someone may now have them – potentially unaware of their significance – or could be attempting to sell them.
