A 16-year-old boy has died after a collision between a scrambler motorcycle and a Scania lorry on the Derryloughan Road in Coalisland, Co Tyrone.

Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 8.15pm on Thursday, 30 July. The teenager, named locally as Connor Magee Campbell from the Clonoe area, received medical treatment at the scene from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service crews before being taken to hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Police investigation and appeal
Detective Inspector Stewart from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit is leading inquiries into the circumstances of the crash. Officers have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or who may hold dash-cam or other footage to come forward.
“We received a report at approximately 8.15 pm on Thursday evening, 30th July, of a collision involving a scrambler and a Scania lorry in the Derryloughan Road area... We would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam or other footage of what happened, which could assist with our ongoing enquiries.”
