What happened

Officers were called following a crash involving a silver Vauxhall Astra and a grey BMW 840i. Three men who were travelling in the Astra, described by police as being in their 30s, 40s and 50s, were pronounced dead at the scene. Formal identification has not yet taken place, but police say next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the BMW, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains under care. Road closures that followed the collision were in place overnight and have since been lifted.

The detective named in the appeal asked people to contact the force online or by calling 101, quoting Op Greenfinch or ISR 828 of 22 July, 2026. He also provided an email address for the investigating officer for anyone who prefers to send details directly.
