Two men have been sentenced at Leicester Crown Court after a violent robbery at a gathering in North Kilworth in November 2025, during which victims were threatened with a knife, physically abused and forced to perform for video recordings later uploaded to TikTok.
Court heard of threats, forced payments and filmed humiliation
Richile Vangu, aged 20, was given an 11-year custodial term. Oluwatobiloba Akinrinola, 19, received seven years. The court was told the pair threatened partygoers on 21 November 2025, demanding money and taking possessions, including designer clothing and at least one iPhone.
At least eight men were corralled into a bedroom and told they would be stabbed in the leg unless they transferred cash. Evidence presented to the judge included footage showing victims being forced to repeat dances for the camera while their identity cards were photographed to confirm addresses.
Vangu introduced himself as 'Trixta' "like a villain from the movies", the court was told.
Allegations of torture, intimidation and online boasting
The prosecution described episodes in which Vangu used a belt to whip victims, fired a BB gun at heads, applied waxing to faces and threatened to cut dreadlocks. Akinrinola was described by the judge as "subservient" to Vangu but nonetheless an active participant who inflicted punches and forced people to perform physical exercises.
Judge Steven Evans told the court the events amounted to both robbery and a campaign of humiliation and torture, and noted footage from the scenes was later posted to TikTok by Vangu.
