A man from Peterborough has admitted to possessing a large quantity of cannabis and cannabis edibles following a collision on the M1, Bedfordshire Police have said. The seizure, described by officers as substantial, was made after the crash on the southbound carriageway between junctions 12 and 13 on 24 July.
Arrest and charges
The accused, Reuben Parker, 23, of Vicarage Farm Road, Peterborough, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply the drugs. He was arrested at the scene and is also charged with two driving-related offences: driving without insurance and driving while holding an invalid licence. He is due to be sentenced in September.

Officers located a notable quantity of drugs inside the vehicle, including cannabis and multiple packets of cannabis gummy sweets. The street value of the haul has been estimated at almost £50,000.
