Emergency services attended a collision on the eastbound A50 near Tean on the evening of 2 August, after two cars were involved in a crash that left two women requiring hospital assessment.
What happened

The driver of one car, a man, didn’t require hospital treatment and was discharged at the scene. The driver and passenger of the second car, two women, sustained minor injuries. Both were conveyed to hospital for further checks."
The men and women involved were assessed by ambulance staff. One man, the driver of the first vehicle, was treated at the scene and did not need further hospital care. The driver and a passenger from the second vehicle, both women, were taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for further examination.
