Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that a man in his 80s has died following a collision in the village of Bracebridge Heath, close to the city of Lincoln.
Incident and investigation
Officers were called to reports of a collision shortly before 10am on Monday, 20 July. The pedestrian, who was involved in a collision with a black Ford Focus near the John Bull pub on London Road, has since been confirmed deceased.
"We can now confirm that the pedestrian, a man in his 80s, has sadly died ... Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time, who are being supported by specially trained officers."
The force said specially trained officers are providing support to the man’s family. Detective and road policing teams continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
