Lincolnshire Police have launched an appeal for information after a man was left with serious injuries following an assault in Stamford on the evening of Saturday 25 July.
Incident and investigation
Officers were alerted to a disturbance in the Sheep Market area at about 9.50pm. During the incident a man was allegedly struck to the head and later assessed as having suffered serious injuries.
"He suffered serious injuries in the assault."
The force has described the event as a large-scale disturbance and said detectives are working to establish the full circumstances. As part of that work they have released CCTV images and detailed descriptions of two men they believe may hold vital information.
Descriptions released
Police have asked anyone who recognises the two men, or who was in the Sheep Market area at the time, to get in touch. The descriptions provided are summarised in the table below.
