Detectives in Nottingham have made a fresh appeal to the public for help identifying a man they believe holds information about a serious assault in the city centre earlier this year.

The assault took place in the early hours of 24 May inside a bar on St James’s Street. The victim, described by police as a man in his 40s, was knocked unconscious and subsequently treated in hospital for a head injury and a deep laceration to his cheek. He has since been discharged.
