West Midlands Police are investigating an incident in Walsall after reports a woman was assaulted and a firearm was seen following a collision on Broadway West late on 15 July.
What happened
Police say the call came in at around 10.25pm after a collision involving a BMW and a Volkswagen Golf. The BMW driver, a woman, was reported to have been pushed and struck to the face in the aftermath of the crash. A separate man was also assaulted when members of the public intervened.

Officers temporarily sealed off the carriageway while they carried out enquiries and forensic examinations. West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched two paramedic officers but they were stood down after finding no patients at the scene.
