Sussex arrive in Derby off the back of a commanding win at Arundel Castle Cricket Club, where they chased down Essex's total of 316/6. Contributions came across the batting order, notably from Charlie Tear, who top-scored with 73, and a substantial fifth-wicket stand of 99 between Jack Leaning and Jack Carson. The winning runs were struck in the final over, completing a chase in front of a packed crowd.
Derbyshire recorded their first victory of the competition in their last outing at Repton School. A commanding unbeaten 108 from Brooke Guest helped set a total of 315/5, and bowler Nick Potts claimed four wickets as Glamorgan were dismissed for 271, a 44-run margin.
