Collectors and fans of Pokémon and other trading-card games will converge on Winchester next month for the county’s first dedicated trading-card convention. Hampshire Collector Con is scheduled for Sunday 2 August at Badger Farm Community Centre, running from 10:00 until 16:00.
What to expect
Organisers say the inaugural event is aimed at a wide audience — from seasoned collectors and competitive players to families and newcomers to the hobby. The day will feature independent dealers selling Pokémon and other trading cards, graded cards, sports cards, memorabilia and collector merchandise. Local caterers will provide refreshments throughout the day.

The convention is co-organised by CW Events Hampshire and South Coast Card Co, and has the backing of sponsors INVICTA TCG and We Print Lanyards. Organisers expect visitors to travel from across the South Coast and neighbouring counties to attend.
Family-friendly features
Alongside trade stalls and sales, the event will include a family-oriented mascot meet-and-greet described by organisers as “electrifying”. The atmosphere is intended to be inclusive for attendees of all ages and experience levels, whether someone is opening their first pack or searching for a rare addition to a long-standing collection.
