Construction has started on three housing projects across Bradford that will deliver a combined 107 new homes, developer Breck Homes and housing provider Incommunities have confirmed.
Sites, sizes and timescales
The schemes are at Rushton Avenue in Thornbury and two nearby former council-owned plots on Flockton Road and Brompton Avenue. The developments will include a mix of two- to four-bedroom houses and smaller one-bedroom maisonettes and apartments, with properties earmarked for both social and affordable rent.
According to the partners, work on the 53-home Rushton Avenue development began in April after planning approval from Bradford Council. Contracts have also been completed on the 20-home Flockton Road site and the 34-home Brompton Avenue scheme.

Flockton Road and Brompton Avenue were purchased from Bradford Council in 2025. The exact split between social and affordable rented units at each site was not detailed in the information released so far.
For residents and prospective tenants, the most immediate practical point is the timescale: the smaller Flockton Road and Brompton Avenue schemes are expected to reach completion by December 2027, while no firm handover date has been published for the larger Rushton Avenue development beyond the fact that building has started.
