Second arrest in West Bowling shooting as victim remains critical
Detectives have made a second arrest in the investigation into a shooting on Gaythorne Road, West Bowling, which left a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head. The incident happened shortly before 11pm on Wednesday 8 July, and the victim remains in a critical condition in hospital.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed that a 21-year-old man from Bradford was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody as enquiries continue. A 35-year-old man, also from Bradford, who was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of attempted murder, remains in custody while detectives from the force’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team pursue a number of lines of enquiry.
Appeal to trace 24-year-old man with links to Suffolk
Officers are continuing to seek the whereabouts of Luqman Khan, 24, from Bradford, who is wanted in connection with the shooting. Police believe he travelled to Suffolk and may have been in the Ipswich or Felixstowe areas.
