Rail users across Croydon should prepare for disruption this week as engineering work will alter services between Monday 20 July and Friday 24 July. Most interventions take place late at night, but the changes will affect some essential late-evening and post-midnight trains.
What is changing and when
From approximately 10.00pm each evening from Monday to Thursday (20–23 July) lines in the East Croydon area will be closed for engineering, leading to amended timetables on services between London Victoria, Battersea Park, Balham and East Croydon. Some late services will be truncated or removed.
- The 22:10 from East Croydon to Watford Junction will terminate at Shepherds Bush.
- The 23:42 Watford Junction to Clapham Junction train will not run.
- On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (21, 23 and 24 July) additional works between East Croydon and Purley will close lines from around 11.45pm until the end of service.
- Replacement buses will operate between East Croydon and Purley, and also on routes serving Caterham and Tattenham Corner.
