A fourth teenager has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Bilal Nisar, who was discovered with stab wounds at Kingsway Recreation Ground in Luton on 29 July.

What has happened so far

Officers were called to the park at about 18:30 BST. Bilal was taken to hospital but later died. Three teenagers — a 16-year-old and two 17-year-olds — were previously charged with murder, violent disorder and possession of a bladed article and were remanded into custody. The newly charged 17-year-old faces the same charges and is due to appear at Luton Magistrates' Court today.

"Bilal was an amazing brother, son, uncle, and friend to us all."

The family paid tribute to Bilal, describing his kindness, sense of humour and loyalty and saying he had a bright future ahead of him.

Police action and appeals

Three other teenagers have been bailed pending further enquiries. Bedfordshire Police said they are seeking three more people believed to have been at the scene and have urged anyone with information to come forward.

"Our thoughts are with Bilal's family at this difficult time,"

Detective Inspector Caeva Taylor asked for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident, or anyone who witnessed the attack, to contact police.
