A man has been charged in connection with the death of Paul Mackin Junior, 44, following an incident at a house in the Duncairn Parade area of North Belfast earlier this week.
Police launched a murder investigation after Mr Mackin Junior died in hospital on Wednesday having been assaulted on Monday. On Thursday the PSNI confirmed a 41-year-old man had been charged with murder, grievous bodily harm with intent and false imprisonment.

The suspect is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Friday. The police said enquiries remain ongoing and that other alleged offences are being considered as part of the investigation.
