MK Dons have bolstered their squad with the signing of Sam Silvera, the 25-year-old Australian international who joined the club on a free transfer after leaving Middlesbrough. The deal, announced by the club, is subject to FA and EFL clearance.
Versatility and experience at Championship level
Silvera arrives in Milton Keynes having been involved in Middlesbrough’s recent bid for promotion to the Premier League. During last season he made 18 appearances in the Championship and scored twice. He has previous exposure to League One football from a loan spell at Blackpool, and has experience of playing at both wing and wing-back.

That assessment came from MK Dons head coach Paul Warne, who said he had been tracking Silvera and was pleased to secure his signature. Warne also emphasised the player’s pace and willingness to take on opponents, and said the club would work to get him match-fit as quickly as possible ahead of the new season.
