The MK Dons have confirmed a staggered schedule for the release of their new 2026/27 kits after only the white home shirt reached supporters so far. The club says the remaining playing and goalkeeper shirts will be delivered in the coming days, with the away kit due to be unveiled next week.
Deliveries delayed but launches imminent
Supporters saw the plain white home shirt for the first time when the team drew 0-0 with Barnet this week. Chief executive Neil Hart told supporters and local media that the club expects the remaining strips to arrive shortly from manufacturer Reebok, who supplied the 26/27 range.
“They will land imminently. Away shirts will launch next week and the third shirt, along with the goalkeepers the week after,”
Hart acknowledged the launches had been later than planned and explained the delay was lengthened by the late decision to include a sleeve sponsor, which needed to be printed before delivery. He also underlined the club’s satisfaction with the quality of the new shirts.
Shirt sponsorship still unsettled
The front-of-shirt sponsorship position remains vacant for now. MK Dons and potential commercial partners have been in negotiations following the long-standing relationship with Suzuki UK, which previously featured on the front of the shirts.
Hart said the club has been approached by several businesses but has not yet secured a partner that meets the club’s criteria on brand fit and value. He framed the decision to launch without a front sponsor as a deliberate choice.
- Away kit: due to be revealed next week
- Third kit and goalkeeper shirts: expected the week after the away launch
- Front-of-shirt sponsor: still under negotiation; club continuing discussions
| Item | Planned availability |
|---|---|
| Away shirt | Next week |
| Third shirt | Week after away launch |
| Goalkeeper kits | Alongside third shirt |
The club believes that launching the unbranded home shirt has been well received by supporters and points to strong early sales, which the chief executive said represented the best first week of club shirt sales on record. Hart suggested that offering a blank front has appealed to fans and that the club will keep pursuing a suitable commercial partner for the main shirt space.
For season-ticket holders and those planning purchases, the key practical takeaway is that the club intends to stage official launches once the remaining stock is on-site. Supporters should therefore expect formal announcements and retail availability within days of the deliveries.
Local businesses and potential sponsors remain in the frame for other commercial arrangements with the club, Hart added, indicating discussions continue beyond the single front-of-shirt opportunity.
