“We didn’t know his name heading into the summer… he came away with us to Croatia, and he has dug in with us over those tough six weeks and has come out a better player,” Barker said.

His pace and willingness to run at defenders have been singled out by coaching staff, while a match against Maidenhead was described as one of his stand-out displays after he replaced the injured captain.
