Lincolnshire Police have launched an appeal for information after an aggravated burglary on Jacobsens Place in Lincoln late on Thursday 16 July. Officers say a man entered a property without permission at around 11.15pm and threatened one of the occupants with a weapon before fleeing on foot.
What happened
Detective Senior Sergeant Jo Carolan confirmed that when one of the home's occupants confronted the intruder, the man allegedly produced a weapon and threatened the resident. Neither of the occupants sustained physical injuries, but Carolan said both were "understandably very shaken" by the incident.
Suspect description and enquiries
Police described the suspect as a man in his mid-20s to early 30s — while adding he could be outside that approximate age range — standing roughly 170cm tall. His ethnicity was not confirmed. He was reported to be wearing a dark-coloured hoodie with the hood up and a black face mask showing only his eyes.

How the public can help
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from Jacobsens Place or nearby streets captured between 10.45pm and 11.59pm on the night in question. Anyone who saw suspicious behaviour in the area at that time, or who has information about the incident, the identity of the person involved or the weapon used, is asked to contact police.
