Quest, a ProMach brand, has launched Flexible One, a fully integrated packaging platform that combines primary packaging, secondary packaging and end-of-line automation into a single coordinated system.

What Flexible One does

The system brings together robotics, vision guidance and integrated controls to let manufacturers link pouch forming and filling, robotic case packing and palletising under one architecture. Quest says the platform was developed with customer input to tackle three industry pressures: handling growing product variety and demand swings; reducing bottlenecks caused by workforce shortages and complex changeovers; and simplifying automation projects by offering a single-source solution.

"Manufacturers today are being asked to do more with fewer resources while supporting a wider variety of products and package formats than ever before," said Jae Hong, Vice President and General Manager, Quest.

How the technology is structured

At the core of the platform are Quest's robotic case packer and robotic palletiser models, identified in the announcement as the QX250 and the QB321. Quest worked alongside other ProMach companies and, as a FANUC Authorized System Integrator, selected technologies intended to expand the range of supported primary and secondary pack styles.
