Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews were mobilised after a 999 call at around 3pm on Monday 3 August to reports of a house fire off Thrumpton Lane. Firefighters from nine stations attended the scene: Worksop, Gainsborough, Collingham, Misterton, Blidworth, Parkway, Rotherham, Tuxford and Eastwood.
Photographs from the scene show the property with its roof collapsed and windows blown out. The service confirmed there have been no reports of injuries arising from the incident.
Firefighting operation and next steps
At the height of the incident six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were involved in tackling the flames. The service has said a fire investigation is scheduled to take place on Tuesday to establish the cause and the extent of the damage.
