A six-year-old girl has died after being seriously injured in a collision between a tractor and a VW Tiguan on the Fosse Way in Warwickshire.
What happened
Emergency services were called to the stretch of the Fosse Way between the turning for Compton Verney and the Five Ways roundabout, near the B4100 Banbury Road, at around 5pm on Friday. Paramedics treated the child at the scene for head injuries before she was taken to hospital, where she died the following morning.
Warwickshire Police confirmed officers attended the scene alongside West Midlands Ambulance Service. The force said specially trained officers are supporting the girl’s family.
"A child has sadly died after a collision on the Fosse Way near Moreton Morrell. As part of our ongoing investigation, we are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or who was driving along the B4455 around 5pm on Friday to come forward."
