The council has taken a major step in the regeneration of Bletchley by appointing national placemaking firm Muse to prepare masterplans for two substantial development sites to the east and west of the town’s railway station.
Masterplanning for homes, shops and community space
Muse will work with Milton Keynes City Council, the Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP) and local communities to shape a vision for the areas around the station. The brief includes proposals for a mix of new homes — including affordable housing, build-to-rent and private sale — as well as retail units, active ground-floor uses and community facilities.

The work builds on a separate but connected transport investment totalling £22 million to create a new eastern entrance to Bletchley station. The funding comprises £17 million from the government’s Growth Mission Fund and a £5 million contribution from Milton Keynes City Council.
