An inquest has been opened into the death of Hamza Parvaiz, a 28-year-old man from Bolton, after he fell from a cliff at Llandudno's Great Orme on the evening of 17 July.
What happened
The hearing at County Hall in Ruthin on Monday, 27 July, heard that emergency services were called to Marine Drive shortly after 8.30pm following reports that a person had fallen from a coastal path. The inquest record states a witness reported seeing Mr Parvaiz "lose his footing" while on a grassy section of the path, which led to the fall.

The incident prompted a multi-agency response. North Wales Police, the Welsh Ambulance Service, RNLI crews and the Coastguard helicopter all attended the scene. An RNLI crew reached Mr Parvaiz and his body was later lifted to safety by Coastguard helicopter.
