Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall in Stratford is offering a fortnight of free family activities during August, inviting children and carers to explore the atmospheric Tudor site through themed trails and hands-on crafts.
What’s on and when
From now until Sunday 16 August the museum is hosting a Magic Faraway Tree Museum Adventure, inspired by Enid Blyton’s stories. Trail packs are available from the welcome desk at no charge, and younger visitors can follow a spotter trail filled with clues and age-appropriate tasks as they move through historic rooms and galleries.

From Monday 17 August to Monday 31 August, the site will switch its focus to Shakespeare’s own woodland spectacle, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Children will be able to make fairy or sprite decorations using pine cones and colourful materials to take home as a memento of their visit.
